It's such a shame that certain staff let this place down! I can't credit Dr Reed enough, he is amazing!! Shame about one of the RUDE receptionist and the disgraced to her position as a Doctor that is Dr Janice Haddon! From the sneers when I walked into 'Her Clinic' and the fat shaming that followed. I had a general appointment to discuss coming off a sedative and it turned into 10 minutes of humiliation! Referring and looking at past letters from other consultants I see at Truro hospital that was nothing to do with why I was sat infront of her that day! having to defend myself at her terms of 'I can say what I like, this is my clinic'. Also referring to myself that 'I know better', as I questioned why certain private things were being mentioned at an appointment that it had absolutely no reference to. I was told I had an attitude for questioning why it was brought up and also had no relevance to weight! I left 'her clinic' feeling absolutely humiliated and disappointed due to her profession! I also left with High epilepsy medication (I DO NOT HAVE EPILEPSY) and no explanation of how to take or why I was given it! I made a follow up appointment by phone for asap to explain the medication. I was told Dr Haddon would call me back but due to the upset caused, understandably i was reluctant and asked for a different doctor to call. I found my whole experience with Dr Haddon despicable, disrespectful and unprofessional and a fat shamer! So if you are someone carrying a few extra pounds... I would avoid her as you will leave 'her clinic' feeling 2inches tall, worthless and a failure that she will quite happily say to you regardless of the upset on your face!

    • Look beyond first impressions, bear in mind that this is a hive of activity do not rush to negative judgements, for lucky are the patients who fall within this practices catchment area. If you become familiar with this practice they will quickly become like family to you. At least they certainly have to me! I am a relatively new patient to this practice, but I have seen at first hand an outstanding level of commitment given to patients. This is a LARGE PRACTICE!! They care for approximately 17,700 patients (According to their website.) With this many patients it can easily appear to be a confusion of errors, rather than an organised efficient well oiled machine, which was to be fair my first impression... HOW WRONG WAS I...! They are beyond dedicated..! They care and support each other. Work cohesively together.. They really know how to share the burdens of a heavy workload. This is in your best interests also because it will lead to a clearly superior level of commitment to YOU.! For example look just how many reception staff are employed here, this combined with the latest check in technology will make check ins etc. a doddle. The waiting room is capacious well lit and with plenty of seating, a place for young children to wait apart from other patients. There are magazines and free antiseptic handgel dispensers dotted around the waiting areas and surgery in general. On any given day you will attend to see one of the many GP's, nurse practitioners or practice nurses. Or the flobotomist or a wide range of health professionals with your health care as their priority. I can vouch for a level of care that has far surpassed my expectation.
